Vine App Contest

Picture
As businesses explore how to capitalize on Twitter's new Vine App, Dive Your Planet, a small dive business based in Nashville, TN launches a 6 second loop with hidden prizes in the freeze frames.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 6, 2013 - Dive Your Planet has taken 6 seconds of footage from a great white shark trip and hidden frames with prizes directing consumers to screen capture the prize entry, tweet the photo to DYP (@livedeeper) and wait for the winning announcements on February 10, 2013. Prizes include a $20 iTunes Giftcard, a DYP branded snapback hat, and $100 off DYP's Great White Shark Trip to Guadalupe Island in 2013.

"I've always been an early adopter of technology, and it's been fun figuring out how Vine's 6 second video loops could be utilized to engage customers," says Kevin Sage, owner of DYP. "I saw a brilliant Vine post with a Magic 6 Ball that you tapped to freeze and get a response. I immediately thought, 'Hey! DYP could offer prizes instead of fortunes.'"

DYP offers premium, private SCUBA training and adventure travel. They also crowd-fund via Indiegogo to raise funds for a new local cause every 30 days. Their mission is to "LIVE DEEPER," and they strive to do that 100 feet underwater AND in their community.

DYP Songwriters Night Announced

For Immediate Release:

Dive Your Planet hosts songwriters night in conjunction with crowd-funding campaign to benefit local halfway house.

Nashville, TN, January 31, 2013 -- Dive Your Planet (DYP) with 12th Street Management, The Nashville Muse, and Music Starts Here have partnered to present a songwriters round to benefit and celebrate the residents of Place of Hope, a rehabilitation center and halfway house in Columbia, TN. The concert will take place at 1600 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, TN 37210 on February 8, 2013 at 7pm. DYP’s mission is to “LIVE DEEPER,” and they do so not just by scuba diving but raising funds and awareness for a new local cause every 30 days.

DYP Founder Kevin Sage created the company to provide premium, private scuba training and travel alongside his desire to help out smaller, local causes that are often overlooked. Using crowd-funding website Indiegogo, Sage offers supporters rewards and perks (some dive related--some just plain fun) and donates the profits to local causes in the Middle Tennessee area. “I believe we were never meant to live in the shallow end. DYP helps you live deeper--100 feet underwater and in your community,” muses Sage.

This event was designed to compliment DYP’s original crowd-funding campaign for Place of Hope where they raised $810 to purchase new water heaters for their 64 bed facility that provides quality care for adult men and women dealing with issues of alcoholism, addiction, and co-occurring disorders throughout the Middle Tennessee region. While touring the facility with Place of Hope Director Mike Coupe, Sage saw the opportunity to utilize his music industry contacts to produce a songwriters night that would celebrate the residents of POH, encouraging them along their difficult journey to recovery.

12th Street Management, The Nashville Muse and Music Starts Here were kindred spirits who joined DYP to co-produce the event featuring talented artists Shay Watson, Mason Douglas, and Brittany Kennell. POH’s Coupe, a veteran musician and songwriter, will also grace the stage for the songwriters round where the first two rows will seat 25 residents and staff members from their Columbia facility.
