Guadalupe Island Great White Sharks - Oct. 11-16, 2013

DYP Trip Host Kevin Sage took 6 people on the trip of a lifetime to Guadalupe Island, Mexico to cage dive with Great White Sharks. The journey began in San Diego where the group from Seattle met up with the Nashville group. Together, they boarded a bus and traveled to Ensenada, where the boat, the Nautilus Explorer, was awaiting their arrival. DYP's Seven joined about 15 other people from all over the world to begin the 20 hour boat ride to Guadalupe Island.
For some in the group, this was their very first dive trip. Others had hundreds of dives under their belt. But for everyone, this was their first time in the water with Great White Sharks. Some were scared. All were excited though.
The Nautilus Explorer is an extremely professional operation. If you've seen footage on television of GWS, it was probably shot at Guadalupe Island, and most likely, it was shot aboard the Nautilus Explorer. The safety precautions and equipment made everyone in our group feel completely comfortable, and the crews' attention to detail made this a truly luxury experience.
